Arvee and Kaye’s wedding was one of the three weddings we covered for the weekend. It has aerial shots which we have taken at santuario de san antonio and reception held at wack wack. The couple insisted on playing coldplay’s viva la vida although we have suggested numerous songs for them. I guess this has a sentimental value to the couple and the outcome turned out at tune with the personality of the bride and groom.

What would be ‘THE’ perfect way to start the day for you? Brewed coffee perhaps? Alone time reading the newspaper? Realizing that you’ve won the jackpot in the recent lotto draw? Well, I’ve had the grandest day last tuesday that led me to shed a tear or two and made me feel like I’m the richest and happiest guy on earth…

Our good friend Jason Magbanua, texted me last tuesday morning and said “Pare! check my facebook!” and then  I found out that we won in the WEVA (Wedding and Event Videographers Association) Creative Excellence Awards held in Orlando, Florida and got two silvers in two categories:

Should I still brag about the fact that this is the first time we joined the contest and won? (allow me to do this my friends, I’m still in cloud 9 ). Seriously though, I wasn’t too keen on winning, although I was secretly praying and hoping to be a finalist when I sent our entries last June. But getting recognition as one of the best is more than what I have hoped and wished for and is something that would inspire us more to be better in our craft.

Special thanks to all the wonderful couples we’ve worked with and had given us the opportunity that led to this day….As I’ve always said in my blogs, what’s amazing with this job is getting thank you’s and seeing genuine happiness from couples on their wedding day and knowing that what we’re doing will forever be part of their love story…

What’s nice about Patrick & Keith’s choice of church is San Sebastian’s unique architectural  design which boasts of its all steel structure and high ceiling. We knew the couple wanted to highlight this on their video which made us think of aerial shots that would accentuate this part of the church’s structure. Having said that, we feel that this is just an icing on the cake because what stood out was the genuine happiness the couple had during the ceremony and reception which made all the difficult shots truly worthwhile…

To you Patrick and Keith, let this be a reminder of a love so true and a marriage for keeps.
