Who wouldn’t want a perfect wedding? Definitely, Sam and Alice want it. And they got it. On the day of their wedding, the sky was bright and the beach waves hushed. There was just enough breeze to go by. Lots of sunshine that made all the colors of the day come alive. Calm nerves, steady walk, all things well in its place. That’s the wedding we saw at Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.

Sam and Alice requested for a hybrid video, one that included the important footages of their wedding ceremony and other pre-wedding activities. As a bonus, we were able to film the beauty of the place and the richness of their wedding culture. We don’t normally see groomsmen willingly take on “extra challenges,” do we?

But before you click on the video link, let me just say that a heart-melting moment is coming up. The bride said, “I promise to remember this feeling especially in a difficult moment.” You just know that more powerful that the perfection of the day is the power of a promise.

 Congratulations, Sam and Alice!

It is not everyday that an overseas filming project lands on my lap. I must admit that this year, I have been blessed with bookings that took me to different cities in Asia and North America. But there is nothing like working on a wedding film on Christmas day. It feels like opening the biggest present under the tree. Well, at least for the boy in me.

Meet Chean Wee and Ireana. The fun-loving couple we filmed in Malaysia. At their pre-wedding event, where it is a tradition for the groom and his groomsmen to fetch the bride, they displayed their playful selves. With the help of the female entourage, some challenges were set up for the groom to fulfill before he could fetch his bride. He gamely did so. Everyone got a good laugh before the wedding, but not at the ceremony, where not a single eye was left dry after the exchange of heartfelt vows. There were tears and smiles. It was both traditional and modern. It truly makes up for a magical day. Best wishes, Chean Wee and Ireana!

It has been a fulfilling year for yours truly. I wish all my couples the best for the coming year. Welcome 2012!
