Happy New Year of the Water Dragon!

Let me present you an ang pau (or ang pow) and here is what it contains: My team’s heartfelt wish –
“May your wealth come to fill a hall.
May all your wishes be fulfilled.
May your happiness be without limit.”

These are auspicious greetings during the Chinese New Year. And it is usually at this time of the year when we often see red packets or ang pau containing treasures. The thing is, you’ll find a treasure of memories every time you capture something into film.

Here’s Michael’s & Alistaire’s wedding video, one fine day this 2012. The day was blissful, though varying emotions ran the place. A smile there, a tear here, nervousness and excitement in one go, but overall happiness was felt. It was such a colorful wedding, much thanks to the handsome couple’s choice of motif. So vivid are the colors that they would want to burst out of your screens. And they walked on a royal blue carpet, fit for their highness.

Having a person to make you laugh and cry for the right reasons is what Erl and Mau are to each other. Their love storywas made special by their individualities, strengthened by their differences, and perfected by friendship. Here are two friends,  travel buddies, security blanket, and comic relief to each other. They have been blessed with a cooperative weather on their wedding day. With my aerial vehicle hovering the ceremony grounds, you’d get to appreciate all the possible angles of that blissful day. I only have one word for their wedding vows – soulful. Cheesy as it may sound, but their words pierced me right where it is feels most touching. And I guess I shared the same feelings with all the guests, judging by their reactions. Real men wear pink. Even if a song has said that ‘boys don’t cry,’ real men do. It is not the first time in all of wedding history, neither is it rare, that a groom shed tears upon seeing his bride walk down the church’s aisle. Jordan did when the church’s main doors opened to reveal his bride. Admittedly surprised by his sudden surge of emotions, Jordan was the happiest man alive at that moment to be finally meeting Vecca at the altar.

And one more thing about a real man, he never stops trying to show a lady how much she means to him, even after he got her to his side. Moments before the ceremony, we became witnesses to one of Jordan’s acts of chivalry. In the midst of the busy preparations, he never forgot to make Vecca feel special through a gift. Now, who wouldn’t be emotional when the perfect day you have been dreaming of, is turning out to be the best day ever?
